"haunting
theatre and dance filled with suggestions about
great human themes" Japanese choreographers Eiko and Koma participated in a residency program at Reyum Art School in 2004-2005. They worked with 12 senior students teaching them performance, dance techniques and story-writing skills. The workshop was developed into a full-length performance Cambodian Stories which toured the USA in 2006. This was the students’ introduction to contemporary dance and their first visit to another country. The tour was accompanied by workshops and a traveling exhibition of the students' paintings. In 2007, a new iteration of the original production, Cambodian Stories Revisited, featuring two of the dancers from the original production toured the American dance festivals.
